A new coffee shop is in the works on Woodward Heights in Ferndale.

Eater reports that mobile coffee shop Drifter Coffee is planning a permanent space that will offer pour overs, espressos, homemade syrups, smoothies, and kombucha on tap, as well as bagel sandwiches, salads, soups, and baked goods. A coffee roasting program is also planned.

Owner Alleah Webb says she's going to add a greenhouse to the two-story, 1,600-square-foot building, which sits at 780 Woodward Heights near Urbanrest, Farm Field Table, and Provisions.

Construction will likely start on March 1 and the shop could open as soon as May.
