Burlesque star Dita Von Teese explored Detroit after her Thursday performance at the Fillmore, stopping by the recently reopened Willis Show Bar for a low-key, late-night unofficial afterparty.

The Michigan native and current Los Angeles resident showed up at the bar with an entourage of her fellow "Copper Coupe Burlesque Revue" co-stars. And while the bar does feature burlesque — as well as live jazz, blues, and DJs — Von Teese and company weren't there to perform, but rather wind down with some post-show cocktails.

After decades of abandonment, the storied Cass Corridor bar officially reopened in April. The project is a partnership between L.A.-based investors and the Detroit Optimist Society, the group behind bars like Sugar House, Wright & Company, the Peterboro, and more. It offers a menu of mostly cocktails, along with an extensive offering of whiskeys, as well as wine and beer. Like Sugar House, the bar is seated-only — reservations on its website are strongly encouraged.
