A new pizzeria owned by a member of a "well-known rock band" is planned for one o
f three duplexes that developers are connecting in Detroit's West Village.
Crain's reports that Brudders will serve homemade pasta and minestrone soup, while a neighborhood called Destination 1905 is in the works for another of the duplexes.
An outdoor deck will connect the three buildings - at 8116 to 8130 Kercheval Ave. - to create one. Demolition is underway, the build out is expected to wrap up by the summer's end, and tenants are expected to take another three months to finish their spaces.
Developers Alex DeCamp and Reimer Priester are spending about $1.35 million to complete the project, called Kercheval 3, which will also hold Metropolis Cycles.
