It's been two decades since Frankenmuth Brewery stopped serving Old Detroit Amber Ale. See, the brewery had been destroyed by a tornado in 1996, and, when it reopened in 2009, the brand was no longer offered. Well, all that has changed, according to Maher Sarafa, brand director at Frankenmuth Brewery. Beer lovers will also be able to find six-packs of the brew at stores throughout Michigan. Just look for the Model T logo. It's only been tweaked just a bit. Or drop in for a quaff, at 425 S. Main St., Frankenmuth; 989-262-8300; frankenmuthbrewery.com.
