Winter Film Series: The Forever Chemicals

Join us as we screen Detroit Public TV's recent Great Lakes Now documentary "The Forever Chemicals" and host an insightful conversation regarding current questions and concerns over PFAS. "PFAS” is short for per- or polyfluoroalkyl substances – a family of chemicals used to make common household products and waterproof clothing. They’re being found in an increasing number of drinking water sources. Following the Jan 11 screening only, activist and community leader Guy Williams, head of Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice, and MLive reporter Garret Ellison will engage in a thoughtful conversation and Q&A.
