The Marshall Tucker Band continues to have a profound level of impact on successive generations of listeners represented by the group’s tried-and-true Southern sound over the decades. The Marshall Tucker Band came together as a young, hungry, and driven six-piece outfit in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1972 – naming their band after a blind piano tuner after they found the name inscribed on a key to their original rehearsal space.
