The Blueflowers w/ Fay Burns & The Embers + DJ Rock City Ray

Long-standing Detroit-based alternative rock band The Blueflowers, blossomed out of a songwriting collaboration between singer/lyricist Kate Hinote and guitarist/producer Tony Hamera. Both made an initial impression on the Detroit music scene in 2005 with the dream pop act, Ether Aura. They’ve since turned out several albums and moving performances, evolving their sound throughout the years. Fay Burns & The Embers – one-half of nationally-touring Americana outfit, Escaping Pavement – opens the show. Burns, with a voice reminiscent of Rhiannon Giddens and Bonnie Raitt, brings emotion-packed originals to an immersive performance. 9pm in the Bowlero Lounge & Listening Room. No cover.
