TAKE 5: 5 Jazz Greats perform 5 Jazz Legends
Trumpeter Allen Denard kicks things off with a stark and soulful tribute to Miles Davis. Paul King swings and sings legendary Frank Sinatra hits. Tony Camilletti embodies Tony Bennett. Also being brought into the preservation fold is jazz/blues vocalist Leon Thomas who passed in 1999. Leon was from East St. Louis, Illinois and known for his free jazz and glottal-stop style. Kenny Watson presents a mesmerizing salute to this unique performer and style. Perry Hughes will honor a living jazz legend from Michigan, guitarist Kenny Burrell.
