St. Florian Hamtramck Strawberry Festival 2025

Both days will be a “Strawberry Feast” with a wide assortment of treats, including our famous strawberry pies and favorite Polish desserts that can be eaten on site or taken home.

And there will be much more, with such Polish favorites as stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, pierogi, city chicken, potato pancakes and nalesniki available in abundance. Polish beer and other adult beverages will be available.

Activities will take place in the church hall below the church and a large tent on Poland Street behind the church in Hamtramck. Dinners and bake sale open at noon on Saturday with full festival activities from 5pm until 10pm. Sunday, the festival hours are 11:30am until 7pm. The festival will feature a Firefighters Mass (St. Florian is the patron saint of firefighters) at 4pm Saturday with a march beginning at the Hamtramck Fire Station at 3:30pm and proceeding down Jos. Campau to the church.

Both days will be filled with music. On Saturday the ever-popular Polish Muslims perform from 6:30-9:30pm in the tent and live music from Kamerton inside the church hall from 2-9:30pm. On Sunday, the Kielbasa Kings will play from 2-6pm in the church hall. There will also be Polish folk dancers on Sunday.

New this year will be a children’s vendor area with crafts available for sale. There also will be inflatables, games and other activities for the kids.

Finally, the fabulous history of St. Florian parish and its magnificent church building will be related on free tours at 2, 3, 4, and 6pm Sunday.

The festival is free to attend and we look forward to seeing our parishioners, our Hamtramck neighbors, alumni and everyone in the Metro Detroit area who loves a good Polish party. However, you don’t need to be Polish to have fun!
