SHERRY ADAMS FOSTER: Light Dance On The Persimmon Tree

Fresh and light yet bold and contemporary, Foster gathers you into her painting world. Her show title says it all as the light dances through each of her watercolors magnifying the bright colors of the persimmon. In her words,” I was inspired by a chance encounter with the California sun shining through the beautiful, overlapping persimmon leaves. In late November, they were multicolored and animated by a soft, lovely breeze. As I watched, composition after light filled composition moved and changed into ones that were even more dazzling. I ran for my camera!” This is Sherry Foster’s third one woman show at Lawrence Street.
