Royal Oak Symphony Presents: Far East Journey

The Royal Oak Symphony Orchestra presents its spring concert, Far East Journey.  The program features Xiao Dong Wei performing the erhu solo in The Butterfly Lovers by Gang Chen & Zhanhao He. Xiao Dong has been featured on National Public Radio and her music can be heard across the US, Australia and Europe. She is considered to be a master of the erhu, a Chinese stringed instrument that is played with a bow and has two strings. Also included on the program are Three Japanese Dances by Bernard Rogers and Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
