Dreamy melodies that make use of the, frankly underused, vibraphone and funky beats made Ayers popular enough to be one of the most sampled artists in hip-hop. At 76, the “Godfather of Neo-Soul” is still performing the danceable tunes that brought him to fame. The Superstars of Jazz Fusion will back Ayers for a night of jazz, funk, soul, disco, and R&B.
