Pilar's Stands with local Afghan Refugee Families

Pick up tamale meals as a fundraising event for the Jewish Family Services program which resettles Afghan refugees in Washtenaw County, sponsored by Pilar's Foundation in partnership with Zion Lutheran Church. Made fresh by Pilar's Tamales, the 2-tamale, 6-tamale, and 12-tamale meals include curtido (cabbage slaw), casamiento (beans and basmati rice), tamale sauce and dessert. Supporters are encouraged to place their order on our website at www.pilarsfoundation.org by Sunday, March 20 to help with planning. Musician Jeffrey Thiele will perform inside the building for those who want to pick up their meals in person, or use the church's drive-up convenience.
