Mike Karoub & Erik McIntyre: Alpino Roots Cellar Music Series

Mike Karoub has performed locally in the Royal Garden Trio for the soundtrack of the DIA commercial. He is a mainstay chamber musician and traditional jazz cellist in Detroit. He has performed nationally at The Smithsonian, The Kennedy Center, The Hollywood Bowl, as well as appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, hosted by Garrison Keillor. Inspired by recordings from the 1920s/30s Erik McIntyre continues to hone a distinct musical voice that pays homage with a personal touch. His arrangements, improvisations, and compositions weave a tapestry that is filtered through a lens of nostalgia and invites listeners to his inner world.
