Mark's 2021 album "The Lucky One" is available on Spotify: shorturl.at/MOUX1 We think of it as honest, thoughtful, but lighthearted Northwoods Americana. His soft-edged, weathered voice combines with folksy lyric imagery, country/folk rhythms, meandering slide guitar, and a bit of twang. As a package, it seems to simultaneously express the simplicity, complexity, permanence, and inevitable evolution of life in Northern Michigan. He likes to throw a twist in there too...there's a song expressing his love of Mexican Cuisine.
