Local Afrofutures: Communities and Connection

This event brings together local activists and thinkers whose work intersects in various ways with the humanities to talk about the multi-faceted activist and creative work being undertaken in southeast Michigan. Panelists include Yodit Mesfin Johnson, president and CEO, NEW Ann Arbor; Rod Wallace, educational programs coordinator, Grove Studios, Ypsilanti; and Liz Kennedy, program manager, Allied Media Conference. Moderated by Matthew Countryman (history and Afroamerican and African studies).
