Folk-noir may be an unfamiliar genre to most, but the melodrama of Kate Hinote & the Disasters is a definitive primer of how it should sound. Featuring seamless harmonies and a twang reminiscent of Canadian singer-songwriter legends Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Kate Hinote (of the Blueflowers) will be joined by Disaster darlings Erin Williams and David Johnson. However, this performance marks the last show with vocalist Williams, and it's being billed as a farewell. The acoustic trio may be losing one of their wheels, but they’re not calling it quits just yet. After all, folk is forever.
