Juneteenth at Historic Hamtramck Stadium
Come celebrate Juneteenth at Historic Hamtramck Stadium!
The old ballpark will again host a full afternoon of Juneteenth events, including an awards ceremony to honor the winners of the Turkey Stearnes Foundation’s Multidisciplinary Art Contest, young baseball stars from around Detroit participating in the Turkey Stearnes Home Run Derby, and a Negro Leagues tribute game.
Taking the field will be Detroit-area 15U and 18U teams in the Tigers Nike RBI program.
Come join the fun! We’ll have entertainment, plus food trucks and more.
Scheduled events begin at noon on Wednesday, June 19, at Historic Hamtramck Stadium, followed by the home run derby.
Tribute game starts at 3 p.m.
