Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra Summer Concert

The Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra concludes its 71st Season with an outdoor concert among sailboats, seagulls and passing freighters. The program, led by Guest Conductor Alexander Mishnaevski, features light classics including Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture, Mozart’s Symphony no. 29, works by Shlomo Mintz, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, and Sibelius, and concludes with John Phillip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. Refreshments are available for purchase and folding chairs will be provided. Audience members are welcome to bring their own picnic food, summer chairs, or picnic blankets. No outside beverages are allowed.
