Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra

The Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, Joe Striplin music director, continues its 71st Season with a concert on Sunday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. in the waterside ballroom at the War Memorial, 32 Lakeshore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms. A pre-concert talk will be given at 2:15 p.m. by WRCJ radio host Davis Gloff. The concert includes "Fanfare" from Paul Dukas's ballet Le Peri and the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major, featuring Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Jiamin Wang as violin soloist. The concert concludes with a performance oF Ottorino Respeghi's "The Pines of Rome."
