Garage Theater

Garage Theater is a site-specific, multi-channel video installation- transforming elements of live performance into a three-night video art festival. Influenced by early to mid 00’s aesthetics, it reinterprets digital displays as a framework for interdisciplinary practice and staged event. Inspired by personal nostalgia of home, Garage Theater recalls memories of the garage as a sanctuary for analogue artifacts: lost and found video, VHS movie nights, vibrant stereo soundscapes. Driveway dancefloors and heartfelt conversations. More than just a stage for live performances, Garage Theater is a gathering of the present, past, and future- converging through virtual displays of live performance.
