Flesh Tones: Soundscape with Huey Mnemonic and Ash Arder

Join us on February 10 at 3pm at Cranbrook Art Museum for a conversation and live performance of the soundscape for "Ash Arder: Flesh Tones" with Huey Mnemonic and Ash Arder. The soundscape, Mnemonics’ imagined reconstruction of Ash’s own in-utero auditory experience at the General Motors assembly plant where her parents worked, brings together sounds of the automotive factory, 1987 pop culture, and the warmth of the womb. The live reconstruction is Mnemonics’ first Museum performance showcasing his unique and innovative sound and will be followed by a conversation on the collaboration.
