Finding Comfort in the Familiar

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – A new solo art exhibition by Detroit artist Naomi Ning is opening at Oloman Cafe + Gallery on Friday, December 6. “Finding Comfort in the Familiar” centers food as an expression of labor, love and care, while evoking a sense of warmth and comfort through a background of vibrant colors and patterns that are all motifs that surrounded the artist in her childhood in Singapore. The exhibition will run from December 6 to 19 at Oloman Cafe + Gallery. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays.
