Cranky shows are stories depicted on long scrolls which are displayed with a "crank" mechanism. This is an ancient art form but alive and well in Detroit! Shows in this year's festival include: "What makes us Safe," a show aout surveillance technology, "Kathe Bradi," a dramatic traditional Greek ballad. Live music, refreshments, Cantastoria museum will be open.
