Daniel Kahn: Songs of Sholem & Koyekh (Peace & Strength)

The renowned Detroit-born, Hamburg-based Yiddish troubadour DANIEL KAHN returns home for an evening of multi-lingual songs of peace, pain, struggle, and resilience. Daniel Kahn is a singer/songwriter, translator, accordionist, and troubadour. Daniel combines English, Yiddish, German, and Russian in a radical combination of Eastern European Klezmer, lyrical folk ballads, dark cabaret, and political punk. Hosted by Congregation T'chiyah, a progressive, participatory and whole-heartedly inclusive synagogue in Ferndale, serving southeast Michigan and beyond.
