The City of Farmington Hills invites the community to celebrate its historic five decades with the theme “Reflecting on our past to shine greater light on our future.” The 50 th Anniversary party will feature food and beverage vendors including Kona Ice slushies, and a beer tent offering “Cheers to 50 Years” specially brewed for the event and served in a souvenir cup in a partnership with the Farmington Brewing Company. Other event sponsors include Versiti Blood Center of Michigan, and NFL Flag Football. Family fun includes a climbing tower, footbowl and cornhole, bouncers (bring socks or buy a pair at the site), a history center with information and artifacts, and live music from the band Fifty Amp Fuse.
Farmington Hills was incorporated as a city in 1973. Since then, it has grown to be among Oakland County’s largest and most diverse communities. Farmington Hills consistently ranks as one of the safest cities in the nation and is known for its diversity, beautiful parklands, and family friendly events and programs.
