Black Women in Michigan Politics Inaugural Luncheon

Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, Lavora Barnes, Chairwoman of the Michigan Democratic Party and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, headline the inaugural Black Women in Michigan Politics Luncheon at Washtenaw Community College. This non-partisan event is designed to encourage, support and spotlight African American women who serve in all phases of Michigan’s political landscape. Senator Sylvia Santana serves on the steering committee of BWIMP with Superior Township clerk, Lynette Findley, Former Commissioner, Edna Bell, and 13th Congressional Democratic Party Treasurer, Diajah Ruffin. The event will feature lunch, music, entertainment and a dynamic panel of black women in Michigan Politics.
