Author of Acclaimed Novel on Frederick Douglass to Speak in Detroit

LA based author Sidney Morrison presents on his new book: Frederick Douglass: A Novel. He will be visiting Detroit on Saturday, October 5th, at the Historic Downtown Detroit Public Library, and will be joined in conversation by Jamon Jordan, Official Historian for the City of Detroit. Morrison’s book is the only historical novel published based on the life of Frederick Douglass. What makes this portrayal of Douglass unique are the details of his intimate life as well as his role as one of America’s founding fathers who escaped slavery to become a radical abolitionist and proponent of racial equality.
