Angela Theis Sings!

Chamber Music at the Scarab Club is thrilled to welcome back acclaimed soprano Angela Theis as the featured artist on the series' next concert at Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church! Don’t miss this incredible Detroit-based vocalist in a rare performance with string quartet, featuring members of the Detroit Opera Orchestra. The main work on the program is American composer Arthur Shepherd’s achingly beautiful Triptych for Soprano and String Quartet. Violinists Laura Roelofs and Velda Kelly will open the program with an unusual and engaging selection of Baroque and Fiddle tunes illustrating the stylistic connections between these two apparently different genres.
