2023 Rising Star Jazz Vocal Competition fundraiser for MI Jazz Festival

2023 Rising Star Jazz Vocal Competition at Aretha’s Jazz Café, 350 Madison Street, Detroit MI, on May 21st at 7 pm. Five finalists will compete before a live audience for the chance to open for Ramona Collins at the 2023 Michigan Jazz Festival. The finalists are Melody Balos, Taylor Sims, Christopher Kendall, Kait Wiegand, and Aniya Gray. Ramona and the vocalists will be accompanied by the Scott Gwinnell Trio with Scott on piano, Takashi Iio on bass and Jeff Trudell on drums.
