100th Birthday Tribute Concert to Connie Converse

Before Bob Dylan, before Joni Mitchell, there was Connie Converse. One of the earliest known modern sing-songwriters in the mid 1950s, performing and recording her original songs on vocals and guitar. She mysteriously vanished from Ann Arbor in 1974, never to be heard from again. But she left behind a gift for us all, her music, neatly filed. Tonight we celebrate Connie Converse and her creative works on what would be her 100th birthday. With music performances by local musicians Jennie Knaggs, Emily Rose, Julie Beutel, Clem Fortuna, Annick Odem, Jennifer Michele and others.
