The 66th annual Ford Fireworks show brought a fabulously explosive evening to downtown Detroit on Monday. More than 10,000 fireworks dazzled the crowds of Detroiters while a bevy of entertainment options thrilled them in the lead up.
The family-friendly event was produced by the Parade Company and included everything from the aforementioned fireworks to games to DJs lighting up the dance floor to food and drink. And did we mention those fireworks? The sight of them lighting up the sky so close to the city's skyline was equal parts breathtaking and primal. If you missed the show, no worries, Metro Times photographer Kahn Santori Davison was on hand to capture the pyrotechnics.
