It’ll be a full year in April! What are your goals, or what has been your biggest modeling achievement thus far? My goals as a model have just become a little more aligned for me. I spend the majority of my time in the field experimenting, getting my feet wet and learning which types of modeling I enjoy the most. I’ve declared that I’ll focus on fashion, beauty, and editorial to satisfy the creative artist within me. In the end, I want to be published in a spread in a fashion magazine. I want high fashion and eye-catching work. I would also love to be the face of one of my favorite make-up brands. My biggest achievement as a model thus far is being published on RevoltTV and Blavity in a collaboration/advertisement for the brand DSE Detroit by James Charles Morris with is “Respect Her/Respect Him” campaign. I started messing with hip-hop back in high school by getting into battle rap, but after a while belittling others lyrically became mundane, and I eventually fell in love with the poetic aspect of storytelling in hip-hop. I’ve pursued that path for almost ten years. I’m releasing new material next month which is much more emotionally laden and harmonic over trap-fueled beats. The culture of hip-hop is heavily ingrained in fashion, and I’ve always appreciated the ability to express myself visually, in addition to verbally. Like my music, my style echoes a darker grunge vibe while dancing on the line of modernity. I love sporting local Detroit streetwear brands and amplifying their span; nothing is more rewarding than pushing art. What are your goals, or what has been your biggest modeling achievement thus far? Being named a Detroit trendsetter last year by HOUR magazine was a straight up honor. Also, being contacted by local brands to rock their gear is a great feeling. My goal in music is to reach a broader fan base and simply have my words resonate deeply with others. I’ve been modeling almost 3 years and It’s the best thing literally that has happen to me! What are your goals, or what has been your biggest modeling achievement thus far? I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve but my primary goals right now is to do more editorial modeling, and to go out and travel there’s so much the world has to offer. One goal of mines is to start styling. I’ve been in love with fashion since 2009 (Freshman year of high school) to show people how to show their own style and not to look like everyone else (no shade)! Another goal is to stop worrying less, and my last goal is to just get on top of my modeling game this year there’s so much I want to do with my career! One of my modeling achievements this far is working with one of my favorite photographers Trever J. Another goal is to create and shoot concepts that you don’t often see men doing in this industry. This is why most of my work harbors more feminine energy. I try my hardest to think outside of the box that male models are stereotypically placed in. My biggest modeling achievement thus far has been the growth and self-confidence I’ve gained over the years. I started modeling to break out of this timid shell I grew up in. Along the way, I’ve worked with some outstanding and terrible people, who’ve all contributed to teaching me some amazing lessons about myself. Amanda DiGiovanni @italchicc How old are you?I am 21 years old. Where are you from? Right now I am currently living in Shelby Township with my little sister. How long have you been modeling for? One year. Tell us a little about yourself: I am an aspiring model, musician, and creative. I am dedicating this year to getting my name out in the industry, and hopefully finish writing the book I have been working on. Besides the arts, I am currently in school for Mental Health and Social Work, soon to be finishing up my associates and then transferring to a University. My end goal is to become a private therapist for children and young adults who suffer from mental illness and/or had rough upbringings. I would love to intertwine that with modeling, and music as well. My idea of success would be using my platform through music, modeling, and art, to help gain recognition on things I am passionate about- such as mental illness. It is a great balance and idea to be able to combine the two for a greater cause. What are your goals, or what has been your biggest modeling achievement thus far? Being able to collaborate and work with creatives in the Metro Detroit industry has opened so many opportunities for me. Through it all, I have worked in a music video with the Autumn King’s Band, been credited on IMDb as an actress after finished up a sitcom pilot called Vampartier, by Baronlemew Productions, and so much more. Last year I was approved and ran in the Inked Magazine contest as well, so it is safe to say that 2018 was a crazy and productive year. I cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store.
