HOLY. SHIT. You guys, Mo Pop Festival is back for year six and we have died and gone to indie heaven.

Indie overlords Bon Iver, who have not made a Michigan appearance in over a decade, are headlining the festival. The National, Portugal. The Man, and St. Vincent are also top-billed with support by the likes of Vince Staples, Brockhampton, Daniel Caesar, Alvvays, and local darlings Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers along with Metro Times ‘Bands to Watch’ artist, Shortly.

Mo Pop prides itself on having not repeated a single artist or band in its lineup, but has still somehow managed to top its 2017 lineup, which included acts like Solange, Alt-J, and Run the Jewels.

They'll also fulfill all of our festival needs with the return of Food Truck Alley, the Craft Bazar, and — a fan favorite — the Mo Pop Arcade, which features vintage video games and A/C throughout the 10-plus-hours of continuous tunes over the two-day event that takes place at West Riverfront Park July 28 and 29.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 9 at 10 a.m. via MoPopFestival.com and will be available for $99.50 for weekend tickets and $75 for single day tickets. Tickets can also be purchased sans service charges at the Royal Oak Music Theatre box office.
