It's the dead of winter. So, you know what that means — summer music festival season is right around the corner. Get your Instagram faces ready, prep your flower crowns, and crop those tops because Coachella and Governors Ball lineups have been announced and unsurprisingly Detroit artists are dominating the headlining slots.
2018's Coachella Music and Arts Festival will take place during two weekends in April. Eminem will headline the Sunday lineup (following the Weeknd on Friday night and Beyonce's Saturday night blowout). Will Queen Bey drop in on Em's set for a "Walk On Water" moment? We'll have to wait and see. (Among the other 80-plus artists set to perform are SZA, David Byrne, St. Vincent, Cardi B, the War on Drugs, Post Malone, and Fleet Foxes.)
Next up is the annual Governors Ball. This year the ball will held over the weekend of June 1-3 at Randall's Island Park in New York City. Both Eminem and Jack White are listed as co-headliners. Eminem, of course, supporting 2017's Revival and Jack White has alluded to a 2018 release for his latest work. (Also, top billing includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Travis Scott, N.E.R.D, Halsey, and Khalid.)
