The Let’s Do Dinner Detroit restaurant week is back for its second year, taking place from October 20-27 to raise funds for Forgotten Harvest, a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity across metro Detroit.

Nearly 30 local restaurants and bars are set to participate, promising an even bigger event than last year.

The week-long event invites diners to explore a variety of Detroit’s diverse culinary offerings, with special three-course meals priced from $20 to $75. For every meal purchased, a donation will be made to Forgotten Harvest, with each contribution providing eight meals to individuals and families facing hunger in metro Detroit.

The inaugural event made a significant impact, providing 70,240 meals to families in need.

While several popular restaurants from last year are returning, such as Ima, Central Kitchen + Bar, and La Lanterna, new participants include Bohemia, Flowers of Vietnam, Leña, PAO Detroit, and Prism Steakhouse & Seafood.

“Participating in this year’s ‘Let’s Do Dinner Detroit’ is perfectly timed for the recent roll out of our new fall menu,” Stoli Liti, operating partner of PAO Detroit, said in a press release. “2024 has been an exciting one, especially after being recognized as one of the ‘50 Most Beautiful Restaurants in the U.S.’ by People Magazine, and we invite guests to enjoy a truly memorable experience.”

Ottava Via, a popular Italian spot in Detroit’s historic Corktown, is one of the spots returning to Let’s Do Dinner Detroit.

“We are excited to participate in ‘Let’s Do Dinner Detroit’ for the second consecutive year. This event is a wonderful opportunity to highlight Detroit’s vibrant culinary scene while supporting a cause we truly care about,” Jorge Hernandez, general manager of Ottava Via, said. “This event is more than just enjoying great food. It’s about giving back to our community and making a meaningful difference.”

Reservations are highly recommended for some of the businesses, but are not required for all. More information and a full list of participating restaurants are available at letsdodinnerdetroit.com.
