Much like how the Red Wings paid tribute to Mike Ilitch after he passed, the Detroit Tigers will also honor Mr. I when the season kicks off.
Photographer Mike Mulholland tweeted a photo of "Mr I" designed into the outfield at Comerica Park. No word on how long the tribute will stay, but it surely won't go unnoticed.
Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers is this Friday, April 7.
