A spring luncheon where the topic is food allergies

New York Times editor and columnist Katherine Rosman will speak at the first spring luncheon to benefit the University of Michigan Food Allergy Center. A U-M graduate and author, Rosman is also the mother of a child who has struggled with food allergies. Similarly, the children of co-chairs Hilary Golden, Marla Karimipour, and Stacy Klein are allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, sesame, eggs, shellfish, apples, kiwi, and many other fruits. The event should provide a stimulating discussion of a growing problem whose cause is unknown.

The event is at 11:30 a.m. April 30, at the Townsend Hotel, 100 Townsend St., Birmingham, at tickets are still available by phone or email. Call Jason Keech at 734-763-0866, or email [email protected] to order.
