Local filmmaker Colin Duerr is casting for his first full length feature film

A couple months ago we blogged about how local filmmaker Colin Duerr was looking for someone with exceptionally long blackheads to be popped on camera. Well, it seems Duerr has moved on to a new project.

The 27-year-old award-winning filmmaker (you may remember him from The Ded Dave Show) is now looking to get started on his first full length feature film, which will be titled The First Grade G

The synopsis of the film is described as, "an 8-year-old psychopath aspires to replicate the behaviors of his favorite gangster rap stars amidst a grim kidnapping scheme" and Duerr describes the film as "Home Alone meets Taxi Driver in the hood."

Duerr is looking to cast a bi-racial (black and white) child between and ages of 6 and 10, noting that there will be no exceptions to either of these criteria. The role is open to both male and female children.

Interested parties should submit two photos and pertinent info to [email protected]

A press release also notes that the project is fully funded by a private executive producer. The First Grade G will begin filming in the summer of 2015 and shooting should last about four months.
