Who's "on" first?

This is where you just might hear it first: AMG Edgefest 2000, the fourth annual festival of musical adventure produced and presented by Ann Arbor’s Kerrytown Concert House, and sponsored by the All Media Guide (AMG), has announced its lineup for this year. Avant jazz, rock and world music all bring their discoveries to the table Oct. 5-7 at three intimate venues: Kerrytown Concert House, Workbench Furniture and the new Firefly Club. Twelve featured ensembles taking the high road, the low road and the path to enlightenment include: Marilyn Crispell-Reggie Workman Ensemble, Vandermark 5, Drake-Kessler-Vandermark Trio, Phillip Johnston’s Transparent Quartet (accompanying silent films), Gerald Cleaver’s Veil of Names, Reggie Workman-Spencer Barefield Duo, Gong, Steve Rush’s Bitches Brew, L’Orkestre des Pas Perdus, Trevor Watts’ Moiré Music Group, Miriodor and the Lipson-Summerfield-Brown Trio. Simpatico scheduling allows you to catch all of the groups at all of the venues during the three-day affair, the three venues being within an easy walk of each other.
