A restaurant specializing in Southern food and trendy Nashville hot chicken is up and running in downtown Detroit's Fort Street Galley.
Table Detroit replaces Pursue, a sustainable seafood concept with Korean influences. The former specializes in Southern-inspired comfort foods, which includes dishes like shrimp hushpuppies, pickle-brined chicken and biscuit, pulled pork with fried green tomatoes, confit duck mac and cheese, and more. Prices range from $7 for cheese and crackers to $16 for a "meat and potatoes" dish consisting of braised short rib ragout with parmesan gnocchi.
Table is helmed by chef Phil Milton, who previously worked at Tommy Bahama in New York City.

The restaurant joins Jewish cuisine-inspired sandwich-maker Allenby; Lucky’s Noble BBQ, which is run by Detroit restaurateur, chef, and James Beard Award winner Jimmy Schmidt; and Isla, a Filipino-inspired restaurant.
