Apollo Brown + Oddisee "The Times"

Detroit producer Apollo Brown has a knack for connecting with other artists and crafting beats that suit their personalities just right. He's done it numerous times with rappers like Boog Brown, Black Milk, Kool G Rap, Has-Lo, and of course his own group, The Left. This time, he recently connected with Washington D.C. producer/emcee Oddisee to piece together a jam called "The Times" that delves into a particular African nation close to Oddisee's heart.

For those that aren't familiar with him, Oddisee is half-Sudanese, and since Sudan recently split in half and became two nations, Oddisee hopped on Apollo Brown's "Tao Te Ching" beat and turned it into a brand new song. With so much conflict happening on the African continent that's playing out before the world's eyes, this is the time of song where the words are not to be missed. Check out the track below and support both of these producers whenever you can.
