Although GRiZ, born Grant Kwiecinski, is now based in Colorado, he first got his start in music in Michigan, playing some of his first parties as a student of Michigan State University. The Southfield-raised Kwiecinski's brand of funk-fueled electronic music has helped him cultivate a strong network of fans and musical collaborators nationwide. After taking the main stage at Detroit's Movement Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, and Colorado's legendary Red Rock's Amphitheatre, Kwiecinski debuted GRiZ Live Band which sees the Michigan artist step away from electronic music and fully embrace funk, soul, and jazz.
