N Main Street, Rochester
Throughout main street in downtown Rochester, the buildings are literally covered in lights from top to bottom. You can check out the lights while shopping local.
2651 Cherokee Hills Cir, Waterford
This homemade light display synchs to music on 100.7 FM. Watch the show from your car. While you're there, you can also donate money to the Michigan Humane Society.
12626 US-12, Brooklyn
Millions of lights flicker from Michigans International Speedway during the holiday season. Traditionally, this event was a drive-through light show, but who needs a car? Nite Lites now offers a 5k run/walk through the 3.1 mile trail of lights.
Hines Park / 7651 N. Merriman Rd., Westland
Drive through Hines Park this holiday season and see the park transformed into a bright winter wonderland with nearly 50 giant animated holiday displays. The park is open all evenings in December until New Year's for a small cash-only fee of $5 per car.
Main Street, Milford
The small town of Milford transforms its downtown area into a winter wonderland during the holiday season. Each Thursday in December, Milford hosts a "dinner on us" which randomly pays for the meals of dining customers as a reward for shopping local.
3240 Ferris Ave., Lincoln Ave, Lincoln Park
One of the best and brightest indoor holiday displays in metro Detroit, travel through Santas workshop and candy cane lane. Open now until Dec. 24., Wednesday - Friday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Admission is $1 and photos with Santa range from $3-$5.
