Our proud Detroit Lions take on the Chicago Bears for the 85th Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic at Ford Field. The energy in the city is high — the streets are filled with Honolulu blue as football fanatics rally for their hometown heroes. Eastern Market will host its traditional tailgates throughout its parking lots; if you haven’t already reserved a game day space, you can pre-game at Eastern Market Brewing Company with some tasty craft beers or venture to the “Pride Plaza” on Brush Street for a free game-day party. Ticket-holding fans can enjoy holiday-inspired items from concessions inside the stadium, including turkey legs, peach cobbler, and sweet potato cheesecake. America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Turkey Trot will cause road closures downtown, so be sure to plan accordingly!
Starts at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, at Ford Field; 2000 Brush St., Detroit detroitlions.com.
