A film about the 1967 Detroit riots is being filmed as we speak, at least partially in Boston. The untitled flick, written by Mark Boal and directed by Academy Award nominee Kathryn Bigelow (see also: Point Break, Zero Dark Thirty, and The Hurt Locker), will hit theaters next year, just in time for the riots' 50th anniversary.

And so, a pair of dark colored Ford Fairlane 500s was spotted in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston by a guy named Nicholas B. Gordon, who then posted some pics of the vintage coups on Twitter.
In an article in the Boston Globe, a couple residents shared stories about their homes being used during filming for the movie — one a three-story home and the other a rectory at a church.
