Vaporcraft opened their doors in 2013 by a husband-and-wife team, both with medical backgrounds, who were smokers. Seeing the progress they received from vaping, they turned the store into a community, helping others quit smoking and sharing the benefits of vaping.

Vaping has become a popular trend in the last year. Upon their opening, Vaporcraft was the third vaping shop in Michigan and the first to sell authentic products.

"Many shops sell clones, counterfeit goods made in China, but we only sell authentic, high-end products," says Charles, one of the store owners. "We've seen that vaping is the most successful way to quit smoking and that's our biggest goal, to help others quit smoking."

Vaping utilizes a propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin-based liquid, mixed with small amounts of nicotine and food-grade flavoring that then get vaporized in a small, battery-powered atomizer, simulating the experience of smoking. Charles says vaping isn't smoking because vaping does not burn your lungs. Vaping is not 100 percent safe and is not FDA approved, however, it is an alternative to smoking cigarettes. "We are not a tobacco shop and we do not sell any drug paraphernalia," says Charles.

At Vaporcraft a shopper can find everything from the average beginner kit to expert utensils. Their staff is knowledgeable and will walk through the steps of using and building advanced devices and units. The shop carries hundreds of juices and oils from GLAS Liquids, but does not make any in-house. Try samples at the shop like lemon pound cake, blueberry lavender custard, and cinnamon spiced apple pie. They also carry cigarette-flavored vapes for the long-time smoker who likes the taste.

"Our shop carries moderate reasonably priced starter kits to experts and we get customers from 20 to 70 trying to quit," says Charles. "We are all about customer service, and we walk everyone through every step of the way."
