Detroit street grid is iconic, and with good reason: It's an arresting mix of the Woodward Plan, the settlements original radiating avenues, and the mishmash of off-beam streets breaking down along the old ribbon farms, all criss-crossed by midcentury freeways.
But have you ever thought of it as mural art in your apartment?
Somebody already has — and it looks pretty cool too.
Using a couple gallons of paint, 700 feet of frog tape, and a sketchy ladder, they're hard at work putting up an image of the street grid (and a bit of Windsor for good measure) up on their wall. Have a peek here, and scroll down to see the progress as it goes up.
