Nike continues to push the ideas of individuality and self-expression with its ID line of footgear. For between $60 and $85, the company gives runners, athletes and the general shoe-wearing public options, options and more options. From the Nike Web site, ID buyers can click on a base model cross-trainer, running shoe, etc., and then proceed to the color chart to create fully customized shoes. The options include choice of base color, midsole color, optional "air rising" and other features. With a range of the brightest attention-getters to the most subdued, classic colors, it’s sure to have a color scheme for just about anyone. Half the fun is in picking out a pair. Then the shoes can be inspected online before the final choice has been made, with full views of all sides provided. Nike ID official members can sign up online and get a kit of free Nike stuff and a "blueprint" of their custom shoes.
