Red Bull Arts is expanding its Detroit base and introducing a revamped contemporary arts program. The newly dubbed Red Bull Arts Detroit will offer opportunities for artists through expanded residency programs, visiting curator fellowships, visiting writer fellowships, and micro-grants.
The Red Bull Arts Detroit has also designated a selection committee to oversee the artists and programs. The location of the Red Bull Arts Detroit will be the former Red Bull House of Arts space in Eastern Market’s
E & B Brewery. In addition to providing studio space and a three-month $12,000 stipend for resident artists, the program will also offer career counseling, networking opportunities, professional exhibition photography, and communication with the selection committee throughout the residency.
The deadline to apply for the new art programs is Aug. 24. More information about Red Bull Arts Detroit is available at its official
website, and interested applicants for the Red Bull Arts Detroit programs can apply
here.
